I have a weekly routine. I grab my laptop and my morning cup of coffee made perfect by adding 2 Caramel Macchiato creamers from International Delight, it tastes so yummy that I no longer visit my local coffee shop (and it saves me a ton of money). Then, I start to make my grocery list.
This week, I not only was thinking of our family meals, but I also started making a list of groceries for when our holiday guests are here.
I love waking my overnight guests up to the delicious smell of breakfast wafting through the house. Year after year more friends and family want to come and stay with me because my breakfasts have become such a holiday tradition.
While I was walking through Walmart in the refrigerated section, I noticed the International Delight holiday flavored creamers had arrived, Peppermint Mocha, Frosted Sugar Cookie, and Pumpkin Pie Spice (YAY!!!) and then it hit me…what this years breakfast for my Thanksgiving guests will be.
Not ordinary waffles. Waffles made with International Delights Pumpkin Pie Spice! The Pumpkin Pie Spice creamer will give the waffles that perfect creamy swirl of seasonal spice flavor inspired by pumpkin pie. I’m even going to add some Pumpkin Pie Spice to the warm maple syrup!
I picked up a Pumpkin Pie Spice for the waffles, and a quart size of Frosted Sugar Cookie creamer for the guests and I, when we have our coffee with Thanksgiving dessert.
Hmmm…I think I’ll pick up an extra box of creamer singles for Handsome to bring to his office, no need to stop for coffee for him either!
As soon as I got home I couldn’t wait to try out my Pumpkin Pie Spice waffle recipe. First try, it came out delicious. In Southern California it doesn’t feel like Fall has arrived just yet, but these waffles sure brought the Fall season into our home.
Here’s how I made them:
I gather all my ingredients first, so I don’t forget any.
Step One: Mix the dry ingredients of flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt in a medium size bowl.
Step Two: Combine eggs, butter, milk, and International Delight Pumpkin Pie Spice creamer in a separate bowl (I like to use a 2 cup measuring cup, it makes it easy to pour).
Step Three: Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
Step Four: Put the batter into the waffle maker and within minutes hot waffles with the perfect hint of pumpkin pie spice.
Set Five: Eat, with a drizzle of warm maple syrup and Pumpkin Pie Spice creamer mixed together with a shake or two of powdered sugar.
